MY
journey
begins

“Plum’s fragrance grows out of coldness.”
— Chinese proverb
Hi, I’m Lumi! Welcome to my personal space on the web. I am a tech and web design enthusiast currently deep-diving into the WordPress ecosystem. I love building clean, responsive websites and optimizing user experiences. One of my secret skills? I can type incredibly fast, which helps me stay efficient and dynamic in everything I do. I’m also proud to be a contributor to the global WordPress community, helping out in the Documentation team.
Upcoming PROYECTS
A brief breakdown of the tasks I will have to do on the WordPress team
This is a brief example of 4 of the 8 tasks, which will be updated as I progress through the course.

Post 1: The Beginning
My presentation, the choice of the Documentation team, and my initial goals, taking advantage of my typing speed.

Post 2: First Steps in the #Docs Team
My entry into the official WordPress Slack channel #docs. My first impressions of how the team is organized internationally and my initial shock at the technical English.

Post 3: Deep Dive into Workflows & Training (Contributions)
A hands-on phase focused on real-world Git workflows and international collaboration. I actively contributed to the official WordPress Documentation Issue Tracker by resolving three key tasks: updating interactive UI components using WordPress Playground, writing semantic alternative text (Alt text) to improve web accessibility (a11y), and fixing broken links (404 errors) within the Developer Handbook. This experience allowed me to master automated issue-assignment systems and open-source contribution guidelines.

Post 4: Final Conclusions & Internship Experience (Final Post)
My final wrap-up and personal reflections on this internship journey. I summarize the key takeaways of collaborating with a global open-source ecosystem, the valuable technical insights gained, and how this experience prepares me for future professional workflows.
